Our story

Tanzanian Coffee, Bought at Origin and Sold by the Bag

Afri Exports has exported Tanzanian produce since 2010. Our coffee programme buys washed arabica from the northern and southern highlands and natural robusta from Kagera, grades it, checks it and ships it as green coffee, so roasters and importers deal with one accountable desk in the country where the coffee grows.

Sourced where it grows

We buy from cooperatives, washing stations and estates in Tanzania's coffee zones, and every lot keeps its region and producer group attached.

Graded and shipped by us

Screen grading, moisture and defect checks, bagging and export paperwork run from one desk in Tanzania, through to FOB Dar es Salaam.

How we work

From Cherry to Container, Checked at Every Step

Grown by Smallholders on the Highlands

Arabica from the slopes of Kilimanjaro and Arusha and from the Southern Highlands of Mbeya, Songwe and Ruvuma; robusta from the Kagera shore of Lake Victoria.

Graded by Screen, Sorted by Hand

Milled coffee is sized over screens into AA, A, B and peaberry, then sorted to remove defects before it is weighed into export bags.
