Quality and Certifications

Every lot we offer is checked for screen retention against its grade, moisture (held at 10–12%) and a defect count on a graded sample. Where a buyer contracts additional tests, such as water activity, residue screening or an independent cupping, we arrange them with an accredited laboratory before shipment.

Coverage

Sample drawn from the lot on offer, results recorded against the lot number and supplied with the shipping documents.

Each lot is tied to its growing region and to the cooperative, washing station or estate that produced it, through the auction lot number or the direct-export contract. That record is what a buyer's own due diligence starts from.

Region, producer group, processing method and crop year per lot, carried through to the invoice and packing list.

Some of the cooperatives and estates we buy from hold organic or sustainability certification. Those certificates are theirs, not ours. We name the holder behind each certified lot and pass you the certificate reference so you can verify its scope and expiry with the certifier before you contract.

Coverage

Certified lots are kept segregated and documented contract by contract; the claim is only as wide as the holder's certificate.

EU operators placing coffee on the market must hold geolocation and deforestation-free evidence for the plots it came from. We work with producer groups to supply the plot data a buyer's due-diligence statement needs, agreed per contract. The legal obligation, and the statement, remain the importing operator's.
